Amarone. Story of a lucky mistake. The most famous wine of Valpolicella, in fact, was born from an error. From a barrel of Recioto forgotten in the cellar for the winter, giving time to the yeasts to eat all the sugar contained in the wine. Who tasted it thinking of finding a sweet wine, was amazed by the Amarone of that nectar. But how good was it? Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva Rocca Sveva is the result of a fertile land, with passion and hard work in the cellar. After vinification, the aging takes place in large oak barrels, where it is left to age for about 48 months, hence the term Riserva. Then, before marketing, it is left to rest in the bottle for a few months until it reaches the right balance. In the glass it has a beautiful ruby red color, with intense and elegant scents. In the mouth it immediately reveals its character and the fabric with which it is made. Structured and decided, it is warm, soft, velvety and very persistent. Good today, it is a wine that does not fear to age. In the cellar he knows how to wait patiently for the right occasion to be uncorked. It must be a special evening, where the table is followed by plates of great thickness. Excellent with game, it is also perfect to accompany a long, very long, after dinner. A piece of chocolate, in that case, is all it takes to do justice.
